State girls swimming: Holy Family's Braden goes faster

Holy Family freshman Mackenzie Braden will swim in consolation finals races in two events on Saturday at the Class A state swim meet.

Braden, of Chaska , took 14th place in the 200 freestyle on Friday afternoon, posting a personal-best time of 2:00.43.

She also swam another personal-best time in the 500 freestyle, with a 15th-place race of 5:25.11.

The Class A finals begin at noon on Saturday at the University of Minnesota Aquatic Center.
